• Since 1986 Korpodeko has stopped receiving subsidy from the government which is key for the functioning of a non-profit development bank. In 2012 the bank had Ang. 8.5M in cash and in March 2024 more than Ang 50M while they have received any funding from the government.
• As Vice chair of the board of Alide I was mandated to expand the membership of Alide particularly with English speaking members. During my term I managed to integrate, Caricom Fund, Caribbean Development Bank and Aruba Investment Bank as members. In addition, I initiated the steps to create a Caribbean Development Bank association that would support the integration of the smaller territory Banks that would otherwise would not be able to become a member of Alide and benefit from such an experience.
• Spearheaded the first ever award-winning Korpodeko Incentive Program (KIP), KIP is program and product based initiative with the purpose to create a sustainable ecosystem for SMEs, minimizing traditional pitfalls, and promoting long-term sustainable business growth. This was the first ever Alide prize for a Caribbean Development Bank as Korpodeko was honored among the development bank Giants such as BNDES, FIRAS i BANOBRA
• Pioneered green financing in Curacao through the Go-Green Initiative, first ever thru green loans, which led in 2022 for traditional banks financing electric vehicles (EVs) for the first time ever in Curacao. Prior to June 2022 EV was not being financed in Curacao.
• Developed and implemented the Micro Loan Entrepreneur Program, popularly named “Mikro Fiansa”, with as purpose transforming existing and potential Micro-entrepreneurs eventually into resilient, educated business owners. The Micro loans where the hook for the educational program for Micro entrepreneurs where their grid and dreams were challenged to succeed.
• Launched the Art as an Economic Agent initiative, leveraging creative industries for economic improvement and self-sufficient artists as entrepreneurs. The ethnicity of local/regional Art is deemed as an exportable good with a distinctive competitive advantage thus the various initiative among other the first ever Art exhibitor restaurant on the island.
• Set up the first time and headed the Special Assets Unit at Banco di Caribe in 2007 for corporate credits. For the first five years of that this unit, it was the unit with the best return complementing the low income of a bank in transition with new owners.
• Set up and was head of the first corporate credit division from 2001 to 2007 at Banco di Caribe as mandated to the bank by CBCS (then BNA)
